Yep... another redo of old fan art from my childhood days. This picture isn't all that different from the original when considering the posing, but how the shadows were done in the original were very experimental and gave a more 3-D cut-out with shadows feel. 'Not really knowing how to replicate that, I just did simple ol' shading. The outfits they wore were different as well.

Basically, the inspiration the first time was Michiru's Character Song "Unmei wa Utsukushiku". This might as well be the same. I like it. In the anime you mainly see Michiru comforting Haruka. Here, we get to see it the other way around. The tears were merely added to help ensure the viewer knew it wasn't a romantic moment, but a solemn and comforting moment.
