Description

"Once upon a time, there lived a handsome little Prince named Snow, His powerful and evil Stepfather the King feared that some day Snow would become a strong man and surpass him. So, he treated the little Prince in rags and forced him to do women's work.
Each day the powerful King consulted his Mystical Sword,
'Mystical Sword, true and sublime, Who is the most powerful king of all time?'
... and as long as the Sword answered, 'You are the most powerful ruler of all time.' Snow was safe from the King's rage."

Simply known as "The Snow Prince", Snow was never called such for a cold, icy demeanor, but for his looks. His real father had wished for a daughter skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood and hair as ebony as the window sill he and his wife sat next to one winter's day.

While he had been disappointed he wound up with a son, he was still pleased the rest of his and his wife's wishes were fulfilled. Three out of four certainly wasn't bad! Sadly, the name Snow White no longer worked so well, so he just became "Snow".

The reason the king had wished for a girl, was because every generation of men on his side of the Royal family tended to be die young while the women lived long. He knew soon enough he would likely pass on and likely wouldn't be able to get his wife pregnant again before his child reached a week of life. In the end, he had only lasted to his son's birth.

The Queen was long distraught over her husband's death and rather lost interest in her son because he had not been the right gender. She was distraught that she hadn't been able to fulfill her husband's last wish. Thus, forgetting her son, she eventually came up with the "brilliant" idea to find a new husband who would be the perfect man to fulfill her late husband's wishes for a lasting ruler.

While the new king was strong, intelligent and powerful, he was nothing like her late husband in terms of kindness, care and gentleness. He ignored her, just as she ignored her son. In despair, she eventually wasted away not even realizing that her own son would have shown her the very kindness, care and gentleness she yearned for.

Left alone, Snow was taken care of by a nanny. Never learning any skills required of a man, he usually would help out his governess. A sweet boy, he really was quite docile and acted like a well-behaved girl. While the servants to the nobles liked him well and considered him a beautiful child, they all thought it was either a pity that he wasn't born a girl or that he'd never become a suitable king with his gentle nature.

Snow never really noticed any of this. He was fine with his lot and liked helping out where he could. If he had been brought up to be a noble gentleman he was sure he'd be bored to death. Thus, when he was soon made to do the duties of a typical scullery maid, he complained not. He liked helping out all the lovely maidens and had the stamina anyway. It also helped that despite none of them really saw him as a potential husband, they certainly liked his good looks.

As he was reaching his sixteenth birthday Snow was gathering water from the well to bring to the kitchens. Singing to himself, a habit he picked up from the washer ladies, he wound up attracting the attention of a fair maiden who was just outside the palace. Intrigued, the girl investigated and beheld the most beautiful man she ever saw. She was smitten.
With great thinking, she left her perch and decided to call out. Snow heard her easily and stopped his serenade to the sky. To his surprise he discovered a damsel in distress waiting for him. Pleading for water, he soon brought her through the gates and "nursed" her back to health.

Watching all of this, the evil King realized Snow was indeed growing up and becoming a man. Though the boy was still very weak and effeminate, he decided to check his Enchanted Sword just in case. to his surprise the Sword replied,

"You are most powerful, that is true... but soon the Snow Prince will be more powerful than you."

Enraged, the King couldn't comprehend how such a pansy could ever become a great and powerful man. He knew the blade spoke on the truth, though. Thus, he decided to take action. If he couldn't figure out how to stop the boy while allowing him to live... then he would just have to get rid of him altogether.

Ordering his most seductive female servant, he had her take Snow with her to gather flowers in the woods. Following orders, she soon began to work her charms in seducing the innocent Prince. Intending to stab him when he was too preoccupied with her body to notice, her plan failed. The Prince was ever a gentleman and would not fall for her charms.

His sincerity and kindness caused her to break down. She truly found him desirable and he refused her. All other times it was just the opposite. She was the desired and she could never refuse those she disliked. After the Prince encouraged her to lead a different, better life, she finally told him why they were really out there. She begged for him to runaway with her as both their heads would be wanted now.

The Prince could only agree when he saw the fear in her eyes. He had to protect her and owed her for not taking his life. Together the two ran off into the forest. Sadly, neither knew it well and wound up lost. Because of this, it wasn't too hard for the King's men to find them.

In their attempts to escape, the maiden finally tricked Snow to get away while she stayed behind to serve as a distraction. She would live as the sort of person she wanted to be. In doing this, she was able to... even if it was for a brief moment.

Managing to get away, Snow soon found he was alone. He had no idea what happened to the servant girl and he had no idea what to do. In the end, he semi-hid in a hollow tree when nightfall came and could only hope for the best tomorrow.

Well, the best thing did happen. A dwarfette found him while searching for mushrooms. After a joking greeting, the two rather hit it off. Telling her his recent situation, she offered he come back to her cottage and meet her sisters. They could think up what he could do from there.

Well, the dwarfette's six sisters were taken by the young man and they figured it would good to have a man around the home. When Snow admitted he knew more about cooking and cleaning than anything the more burly of the group decided to show him the ropes. Soon enough he was learning self-defense, chopping wood, tilling the ground, hunting and so forth.

Times passes and he found he greatly enjoyed his new life and the dwarfettes found him God sent. Such happy times were not to last, however. The Evil King felt it was time to consult his Mystical Sword only to find that the Snow Prince managed to survive the forest and was brimming with health. The boy was becoming stronger, manlier and held more confidence he ever thought possible.

Realizing the only way he could make sure the young Prince was gotten rid of, he would have to address the matter with his own two hands. Disguising himself as an unknown knight, the King took off into the forest with his trusty sword.
Meanwhile, the Snow Prince was chopping wood to replace the wood used up for cooking and heating water the week before. It was there the evil King met him. Telling the Prince he was trespassing and that he had killed many of his trees, he demanded Snow's life for payment.

Thinking the kill would be easy, the King was sadly mistaken. Snow put up quite a fight with the axe. Alas, as the King's sword was enchanted, he was to be victor. He gave a blow that rang true and the Prince fell. Checking, the King found no pulse and was assured he was now the most powerful king of all time by his sword. Content, he left Snow's body to be ravaged by animals.

The young man's body was found that evening by the dwarfettes when they found he was late in returning home. They mourned his death terribly and fashioned him a most beautiful coffin that complimented his still retained beauty.

As the seasons changed, they found the Prince never deteriorated. If anything he grew more handsome. One would think he only slept from how ethereal his skin still was. His cheeks still held roses and his lips were still kissed by the sun's warmth. This was how the young maiden he helped at the well found him.

The maiden in truth was a Princess and had been searching for him all this time. Distraught, she fell upon his chest and wept. He was still warm, but she didn't notice. As her tears fell, one landed upon the very wound that sent him into his deep sleep. That was all that was needed.

The sword was after all enchanted. It was to be owned by great, powerful and wonderful kings. Though it had stabbed him through, the sword could not kill him. As it predicted, the Snow Prince was a great, powerful man. He surpassed his stepfather and all others due to his heart, though.

With the tear entering the wound, a shard that had broken off the blade emerged and the Prince took a breath of life. The sword had protected him from his evil Stepfather and the Princess's tears healed the wound, breaking the enchantment.

The Snow Prince and his Princess soon enough married and he indeed became an incredible king of strength and beauty inside and out.

Blah. The end.

I was foolish to start writing that. Meh. That narration is basically in the same structure of the Snow White movie despite the changes. Anyway, I decided to do a gender swap with Snow White and Prince Ferdinand. (Yes, I'm inclined to go with that name with him.) Pretty simple...
